Thursday and Friday ,April 18th & 19th. Come and celebrate Easter Weekend to experience Cecil B. DeMille’s finest motion picture ” KING of KINGS” with BLAINE GALE providing a inspiring live score on the mighty Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ.
What two films does organist Blaine Gale look forward to scoring on the
mighty Wurlitzler Theatre Pipe Organ the most? One would of course
be “The Phantom Of The Opera” that he has done for more than
25 years. The other would be Cecil B. DeMille’s “THE KING OF KINGS”.
And this year we will be screening the uncut 1927 Roadshow version
as it was originally shown in 1927 in Los Angeles and New York City
complete with the two Technicolor sequences that were part of that
experience.
Blaine Gale’s background makes him the ideal choice for creating the
appropriate musical score to enrich the experience of seeing the one
film that Cecil B. DeMille would never attempt to remake, knowing
full well that he would never be able to match the beauty and power
that this motion picture conveys in presenting the greatest story ever
told.
Over the years there have been several films on the life of Jesus
Christ that have had impressive moments but none that have come
as close as “THE KING OF KINGS” does in showing the love and
sacrifice of the Savior so fully.
So bring your favorite cushion along and join us on APRIL 18 or 19th
for a film that is not only a masterpiece of the art of motion picture
making but also a film that will help you celebrate the Easter season.
