A Special Note to our Patrons:
For many years one of the delightful experiences Edison Street /the Organ Loft has offered the community is the Silent Film Series wherewith you have been able to see great pre-1930 movies of the silent era with live accompaniment on the giant Wurlitzer Pipe Organ as they were intended to be seen. This has been greatly through the efforts of our quad-team: Larry Bray (owner and keeper-of-the-loft), Blaine Gale (organist extraordinaire),Hunter Hale (Film Historian & Series Planner) and his brother, Richard I. Hale (Video Services and Technical Support). The way of the earth is: all must pass through life and exit mortality. This is the last season planned by Hunter as he will soon depart due to Cancer. The rest of the team is aging into the 70-80-90s, two of which have Parkinson’s disease. Will we continue with the silent film series? How long before so long – time will tell. In the meantime let’s enjoy and appreciate while the sun shines.
